November!!!!

There is many ways to use images. Well let’s begin in a little journey on how to use images. You could use images in your daily life without even knowing. There is different places to use images for example, in books, maps, comics, PowerPoint. There is many more however, I only choose two. There are two I am mainly interested in. making a point by using images in a power point and comics.
A power point is a computerize presentation. A power point is use to present a certain topic. In a power point you could present things like global warming, crimes, etc. However, how is a power point presentation with images different from a power point presentation with images? Well first of all let me ask you a question. Will you rather at text with an image or text with only text and full or paragraphs? Well the most obvious answer would be text with images. Starting out a power point without images will help you catch more peoples attention. They would be more interested in the presentation because color makes it more of a hook. It also helps you make the people visualize what you want them to notice. Since we all think different people could have a different picture a picture you don’t want them to have so you need to give them a little push and by adding an image that could be your little push.
Books are a resource that introduces a certain topic. Most books foot elementary students have images. Have you ever ask yourself why? Well the images are really simple they are just helping the young mind a lilted head start because they haven’t fully developed. The image helps the young learner know what he is reading about. For example a book with an image of a tiger would automatically tell the unfully developed mind that he or she would be reading about tigers. Images are tools to give you a head start so you wont be that lost.
There is many other ways to use images. Moreover, power point presentations and books have a reason why you should have them. Images where created for a reason not just for them to be lying around.

Hugo, in the future, I'd like to see you taking apart a particular image, asking the question:

"How is this image using Ethos, Pathos or Logos to convince me to believe something."

Try it. And give a link to the image so we can follow your thinking.

Hugo,

Why are you interested in those two? Why specifically those? Why not other things? Power points are also to present something of importance or to inform people about certain things. There are many purposes for the use of a power point. Keep that in mind. PowerPoint do use images but those images have to be related to what you are presenting because if they are not relevant to your presentation than it doesn’t have that much impact to your audience and your audience might be confused.

Hello
I would like to tell you that your interpretation of pictures is really good. Throughout you’re past blogs i have seen the great gift of writing that you have. You are able to interpret and write using convenient and interesting methods of writing attractions. Now i agree with ms.vernon when she says that you should break down a picture. You should picture that interests you because of its shapes, its meaning, or its complexity, better yet you should compare pictures. I believe that this will give your audience a better understanding of what you are trying to say. Like many teachers say show don’t say, use your words to demonstrate the importance and meaning of a picture
Thank You

umm.. I agree with Sherre, you should pick one image and expand on it. For example, the WWII advertisements that encouraged women to join the workforce. Or what about the images used to make Nazi's look like "the bad guy" (or vice versa on the Americans).
I want to encourage you to look into history.

Hugo,
Images are very important to prove a point. The use of images is very important. For example would you rather buy a game in which the commercials show images of the game or buy a game in which the commercial of the game is all text. Good job Hugo just watch out with grammatical mistakes. Great job and I look forward to reading more of your post

Dear Hugo,
I see that you have minor errors. In, “…how is a power point presentation with images different from a power point presentation with images?” When you actually meant was, “…how is a power point presentation with images different from a power point presentation without images?” The other mistake was, “Starting out a power point without images will help you catch peoples attention.” When you actually meant, “Starting out a power point with images will help you catch more people’s attention.” I know that I understand it even though you made the errors, but you should double check because then your audience would be lost or unclear. And I’m unclear in your sentence, “Since we all think…” For me it is unclear you still need to clear your thoughts other than, that your blog was very interesting, and helpful.
Sincerely,
Masyeli M.

Hugo,

After reading your blog, I must say that it was quite interesting in many ways. For instance, when you talked about how pictures in a book would be very helpful to little kids I must agree with you there because you are providing the readers with a fact which is that little kids know what the book is about when they see the pictures inside. On the other hand, I must also agree with Ms. Sherre because your topic is to write about images so i think it would be best to write about images. Overall, i believe that the rest of the work is fine so keep doing good work.
